Mark Toigo runs the 450 acre Toigo Orchards, which has been farmed since 1790. When the Toigo family acquired the farm in 1972, they converted the existing grain fields to orchards and vegetable production. There are over 21,000 trees in the farm's orchards, with about 41 acres devoted to peaches alone, along with other fruits such as plums, apricots, cherries, pears and apples. There are also several acres devoted to berries in addition to melons. The farm has also added hydroponic production to its offerings. Located in Shippensburg, PA, Toigo follows IPM practices on the farm.
