Tuna and Avocado Salad

This healthy and filling salad is the perfect lunch or quick dinner recipe.  It is easy to make, healthy and super delicious.  And it pairs very well with a glass of crisp, white wine!

Ingredients
  • 2 pound Tuna
  • 1 pound Hass Avocado (diced)
  • 0.25 cup Scallions (minced)
  • 0.25 cup Red Onion (small dice)
  • 6 tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 4 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 2 teaspoon Sesame Oil
  • 15 Hot Sauce (dashes)
  • 4 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 2.5 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper (coarsely ground)
Directions
  1. Brush the tuna steaks with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place the tuna steaks on a hot grill and cook for only 1 minute on each side. Set aside on a platter.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, pepper, lime juice, soy sauce, sesame oil and hot sauce. Add the avocados to the vinaigrette.
  3. Cut the tuna in chunks and place it in a large bowl. Add the scallions and red onion and mix well. Pour the vinaigrette mixture over the tuna and carefully mix.
